Cars in Germany's City Found Covered with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Law Enforcement State

Approximately 50 cars have been smeared with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the German city of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, police confirm law enforcement.

Vehicles, building surfaces and mailboxes were defaced, sometimes with prohibited symbols, they reported in a statement.

Law enforcement report they were notified late on Wednesday, when a man noticed that a car in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been marked with a reddish fluid.

The fluid had been placed in the form of a Nazi symbol, they reported.

Law enforcement then discovered many other smeared automobiles and house walls in the surrounding area.

Nazi symbols are illegal in Germany under laws outlawing the public exhibition of Nazi-era symbols.

Law enforcement state initial examinations show the liquid was likely blood from a person.

"There is still no lead as to its origin; authorities are not yet informed of any physical harm in association with the occurrence," they commented.

City officials announced they were trying "to unravel the case" and have requested to the residents for information.

An important political figure said the vandalism made him speechless and required to be solved rapidly.

"This event hits the very heart of Hanau and revives the wounds of the right-wing attack five years ago," he stated on online, recalling the murder of nine people by a gunman targeting people of foreign heritage in February 2020.
